Quad Bike Safari in Hurghada

Ten minutes inland from the coastal hotels, Hurghada stops abruptly and the Eastern Desert begins: flat gravel plains, dry wadis and the granite ridges of the Red Sea mountains. A quad safari is the easiest way to get out into it without an expedition.

Tours run in the morning or, more popularly, in the late afternoon so the ride finishes with sunset. The route crosses open desert tracks with a stop at a Bedouin settlement for tea, a short camel ride if you want one, and time to watch the light change before heading back.

No licence or previous experience is required. Every group gets a safety briefing and a short practice loop, and guides ride at the front and back of the convoy the whole way. Helmets, goggles and scarves are provided.
