Makadi Bay lies roughly 35 kilometres south of Hurghada Airport, a straightforward half-hour drive along the coastal road. It is a purpose-built resort bay rather than a town, which is exactly its appeal — house-reef snorkelling directly off the beach and very little traffic noise.

Because the bay is a chain of large resorts spread over several kilometres, arriving without a booked car often means a long wait and a negotiated fare. We take you directly to your reception, whether that is at the north end near Makadi Water World or the far southern properties.
